Confessions of a Positive Saint
1. I am a child of God.
– John 1:12: “But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”
2. I am a new creation in Christ.
– 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.”
3. I am forgiven of all my sins.
– Ephesians 1:7: “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace.”
4. I am the righteousness of God in Christ.
– 2 Corinthians 5:21: “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.”
5. I am more than a conqueror through Christ.
– Romans 8:37: “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”
6. I am God’s workmanship, created for good works.
– Ephesians 2:10: “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.”
7. I am the temple of the Holy Spirit.
– 1 Corinthians 6:19: “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own.”
8. I am seated with Christ in heavenly places.
– Ephesians 2:6: “And raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”
9. I am an heir of God and co-heir with Christ.
– Romans 8:17: “And if children, then heirs—heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.”
10. I am free from condemnation.
– Romans 8:1: “There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.”
11. I am chosen and dearly loved.
– Colossians 3:12: “Put on then, as God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience.”
12. I am a citizen of heaven.
– Philippians 3:20: “But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
13. I am blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ.
– Ephesians 1:3: “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places.”
14. I am a member of Christ’s body.
– 1 Corinthians 12:27: “Now you are the body of Christ and individually members of it.”
15. I am chosen to bear fruit that lasts.
– John 15:16: “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit and that your fruit should abide, so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you.”
16. I am no longer a slave to sin.
– Romans 6:6: “We know that our old self was crucified with him in order that the body of sin might be brought to nothing, so that we would no longer be enslaved to sin.”
17. I am a light in the world.
– Matthew 5:14: “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.”
18. I am an ambassador for Christ.
– 2 Corinthians 5:20: “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.”
19. I am protected by God’s peace.
– Philippians 4:7: “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
20. I am loved with an everlasting love.
– Romans 8:38-39: “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
21. I am justified by faith in Christ.
– Revelation 12:11: “And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.”
22. I am an overcomer by the blood of the Lamb.
– Philippians 3:20: “But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ.”
23. I am a friend of God.
– John 15:15: “No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.”
24. I am filled with the fruit of the Spirit.
– Galatians 5:22-23: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
25. I am sanctified in Christ Jesus.
– 1 Corinthians 1:2: “To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints together with all those who in every place call upon the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours.”
26. I am the salt of the earth.
– Matthew 5:13: “You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.”
27. I am redeemed from the curse of the law.
– Galatians 3:13: “Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us– for it is written, ‘Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree.'”
28. I am called according to God’s purpose.
– Romans 8:28: “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
29. I am being transformed into Christ’s image.
– 2 Corinthians 3:18: “And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.”
30. I am part of a chosen race, a royal priesthood.
– 1 Peter 2:9: “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
