Revelation 2: 8-11

1. He knows , so you know .

📖  Revelation 2:8 ESV And to the angel of the church in Smyrna write: ‘The words of the first and the last, who died and came to life.’

📖  Isaiah 44:6 ESV Thus says the Lord, the King of Israel and his Redeemer, the Lord of hosts: “I am the first and I am the last; besides me there is no god.”

2. He knows you’re , but calls you .

📖  Revelation 2:9 ESV I know your tribulation and your poverty (but you are rich) and the slander of those who say that they are Jews and are not, but are a synagogue of Satan.

📖  James 2:5 ESV Listen, my beloved brothers, has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom, which he has promised to those who love him?

📖  2 Corinthians 8:9 ESV For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you by his poverty might become rich.

3. He knows who’s you, even when they look .

4. He knows you’re , and He’s holding the with your name on it.

📖 Revelation 2:10 ESV Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life.

📖 James 1:12 ESV Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.

📖 2 Timothy 4:6–8 ESV For I am already being poured out as a drink offering, and the time of my departure has come. 7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. 8 Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.

📖 Revelation 2:11 ESV He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who conquers will not be hurt by the second death.

📖 Romans 10:9 ESV because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

📖 John 10:28 ESV I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch
them out of my hand.

Sermon in a Prayer:

Heavenly Father, Smyrna was and yet You called them rich and them until the end. Lord, expose everything that’s dressed in religion but working against You, and when this world tries to us, remind us, that’s exactly where the starts. Amen.
