From John 10

📖  John 10:11 ESV I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.
📖  John 10:12-13 ESV He who is a hired hand and not a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and leaves the sheep and flees, and the wolf snatches them and scatters them. 13 He flees because he is a hired hand and cares nothing for the sheep.

What does the Good Shepherd do?

1.  Jesus for me.

📖  John 10:11 ESV The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. 
📖  1 Samuel 17:34–35 ESV But David said to Saul, “Your servant used to keep sheep for his father. And when there came a lion, or a bear, and took a lamb from the flock, 35 I went after him and struck him and delivered it out of his mouth. And if he arose against me, I caught him by his beard and struck him and killed him.
📖  John 10:17–18 ESV For this reason the Father loves me, because I lay down my life that I may take it up again. 18 No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it up again. This charge I have received from my Father.”

2. Jesus seeks with me.

📖  John 10:14-15 ESV I am the good shepherd. I know my own and my own know me, 15 just as the Father knows me and I know the Father; and I lay down my life for the sheep. 
📖  Hosea 6:6 ESV For I desire steadfast love and not sacrifice, the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.
📖  John 17:3 ESV And this is eternal life, that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom you have sent.
📖  Philippians 3:8 ESV Indeed, I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. For his sake I have suffered the loss of all things and count them as rubbish, in order that I may gain Christ
📖  Daniel 11:32 ESV He shall seduce with flattery those who violate the covenant, but the people who know their God shall stand firm and take action.
📖  John 10:27 ESV My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 

3. Jesus others the with me.

📖 John 10:16 ESV And I have other sheep that are not of this fold. I must bring them also, and they will listen to my voice. So there will be one flock, one shepherd. 

4. Jesus me.

📖 John 10:28 ESV I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand.

📖 Romans 8:35–37 ESV Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? 36 As it is written, “For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

So who am I?

In Christ I am someone Jesus , to His flock, and for eternity.
